“Do not judge me by my success, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”
― Nelson Mandela
Hello everyone. This week we are launching a new-look to the website. To do this we wanted to tell you our story….
We met nearly 20 years ago in a mother and baby group in our village. Our approach to resilience training began as two friends supporting one another. We discussed our problems, shared ideas and constantly asked – “what does that mean” and “what can we do about it”.
We discussed relationships, parenting, issues with colleagues, and as healthcare professionals, ways to help our patients manage pain, unusual problems and their mental health. In doing this we embraced multiple different methods from both East and West and we translated what we have learned over our lifetime into practical accessible tools.
We have always worked to align the evidence base of mental health and resilience with the spiritual teachings threaded throughout all cultures; in doing so we elevate both, creating an holistic approach.
We are absolutely passionate about wellbeing and we believe, and the evidence shows, that personal resilience is the key to this. It is essential to enable and empower ourselves by taking responsibility. Our approach is a unique blend of spirit and science, combining our expert knowledge with your expert knowledge of yourself.
Our Vision:
"We want to live in a world where individuals thrive. We aspire to be leaders in promoting resilience and mental health, helping people cultivate inner peace, strength, and balance."
Our Mission:
At Resilient Practice, our mission is to empower individuals to enhance their well-being, resilience, and mental health by integrating Eastern wisdom and Western science. Through a unique blend of deep self-awareness and practical tools and techniques, we guide you on a transformative journey, transmuting pain into inner strength, cultivating balance, and achieving lasting fulfilment in every aspect of life."
Our Values:
Holistic Integration: We believe in the power of combining Eastern wisdom and Western science to provide comprehensive support for mental health and well-being.
Empowerment: We are committed to empowering individuals to take control of their lives, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and resilience.
Self-Awareness: We value deep self-awareness as the foundation for personal transformation, encouraging individuals to explore and understand their inner world.
Compassion: We approach every individual with compassion, honouring their unique experiences and supporting their journey toward healing and balance.
Growth Through Adversity: We embrace the idea that pain and challenges can be transmuted into inner strength, fostering resilience and personal growth.
Balance and Harmony: We prioritize the balance of mind, body, and spirit, guiding individuals to achieve harmony in all aspects of their lives.
Authenticity: We encourage authenticity in every interaction, helping individuals live in alignment with their true selves.
Continuous Learning: We are dedicated to continuous learning and adaptation, integrating the latest knowledge and practices to support mental health and resilience.
And so, what began as peer support for us has grown into Resilient Practice; a network that includes our book ‘How to Rise – A Complete Resilience Manual’, comprehensive training courses that many individuals and organisations have embraced, and this website.
Thank you for reading the articles and commenting on them. Thank you to those who have attended our courses and for all the feedback that we have received. Thank you to those who have bought our book. Most importantly, thank you for using the tools and techniques that we teach. Please continue to do so and share them with others.
Please let us know what you think of the new-look website and share a link to it with those you care about.
Now more than ever, we need to work collectively to raise awareness and foster peace.
My dear sisters: I absolutely love your new website on so many levels! To start with, when I first saw the balloon, the first thought that came to my mind was precisely the ways in which you positively impact our world...Up, Up and more Up! Further, it cries out to its viewers inviting him/her to be served. I could go on and on but I'll stop here with this final thought...I am so blessed to be your brother! xoxoxo
